WORKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MEMBERS
Our mission is to drive sustainable demand for Northern Irish wool in order to maximise returns for our members.

Pre-printed labels trial in Northern Ireland

As we all know, time is always against us, and if we can help our farmer-members to gain some back, that is always positive.  This year all Ulster Wool members received pre-printed labels at the start of the season which supported members on farm and processes at the depot.

We also appreciate that flock numbers and Ulster Wool membership numbers are very similar which can cause confusion, as we are not DAERA, flock numbers are not linked to a member’s wool delivery.

At the Ulster Wool depot, we have seen some improvements on efficiency as farmers are able to deliver with the correct membership number.  There has also been positive feedback from members in that the pre-printed labels saves time on farm when shearing, wool rolling and preparing wool for delivery.

If you have mis-placed your labels that were sent at the start of the season or didn’t receive any (as they were generated on the previous year’s delivery) please don’t hesitate to contact the depot.

We would like to thank our partners at ‘Ulster Wool Growers’ who supported the trial and a full review of the project will take place as we look ahead to next season.
