WORKING ON BEHALF OF OUR MEMBERS
Our mission is to drive sustainable demand for Northern Irish wool in order to maximise returns for our members.

The Ulster Wool payment system

Following the grading process, Ulster Wool sells wool on behalf of its members in a series of auctions over a 12 month period.

The price paid is the year average attained over all sales during that period, minus handling and any carriage costs. Resulting in the same grade of wool, having the same vaule irrespective of where you farm, the size of your clip or when your wool is received.

Members receive their payment from the previous season once when the current season's wool is delivered to our depot.

The payment system has been developed to allow Ulster Wool to operate in any market situation and use its collective strength to ensure you receive the true market value for your wool.
