Licensing scheme goes from strength to strength

Over the past 12 months, Ulster Wool partners British Wool has further strengthened its brand licensing scheme with an additional 33 brands coming on board. Now, the organisation works with 136 brands across the globe which all use high proportions of Ulster wool in their products, further helping to drive new demand.

Recent additions to the Ulster Wool partners British Wool licensing scheme include:

Avena Carpets

The first carpet manufacturer to join the Ulster Wool partners British Wool traceable wool scheme. They have been supplying high quality wool carpets since 1976.

Baavet

Wool duvet brand Baavet started in 2009 when farm owners Roger and Lesley Payne, were looking for a farm diversity scheme. Now available on the Ulster Wool partners British Wool Shop.

Cable & Blake

Cable & Blake fabrics are unique in the upholstery marketplace as they dye the Herdwick fabric with vibrant colours that reflect the Lake District heritage, this is used in high quality upholstery.

CloudWool

Cloudwool® is a range of innovative, nonwoven fabrics for fashion made from pure Ulster wool. The aim of Cloudwool® is to make a pure wool fabric accessible for mass market fashion. A range of trainers was launched by Grenson in 2023 using this material.

Dreams

National bed retailer Dreams joined the scheme in 2023 and is producing a range of mattresses using Ulster Wool partner's fully traceable British wool.

Floc

The business is a new startup, which launched at the beginning of September 2023. The founder, Andrew Taylor, is a farmer and Land Agent based in Derbyshire. Their range of hats and scarves all use Ulster Wool partner's fully traceable British wool, and the range is available at the Ulster Wool partner's British Wool Shop.

TrueWool

Produced by Wool Insulation Wales Ltd, manufactures thermal and acoustic insulation and draft proofing products under the TrueWool brand. Committed to supporting Welsh wool producing farmers all wool is sourced through the Traceable Wool Scheme.
