Ulster Wool and the Irish Grown Wool Council
Back in April an All-Ireland ‘Irish Grown Wool Council’ was formed and Ulster Wool are pleased to work towards a shared vision of promoting local wool to help farmer returns.
The IGWC was formed to bring together stakeholders from both sides of the border to focus on improving the Irish wool sector.
Through working together, the council aims to achieve a more positive outlook on the production and use of wool from farm to physical products.
There are a number of different working groups that have been established to work on the foundation blocks of what the IGWC will look like and how it will achieve it’s aims and objectives to improve all things ‘wool’.
At Ulster Wool we pride ourselves on working on behalf of our farmer-members, and we hope that by working together, the story of wool will be a more positive one north & south of the border.
