Wool Innovators Project with Sentinus - Focus on Newtownstewart Model Primary School
Newtownstewart Model Primary School is situated in County Tyrone between Omagh and Strabane, in the vibrant wee town of Newtownstewart.
The pupils, many of whom have farming backgrounds, are drawn from the town and the surrounding countryside - from the slopes of Bessy Belle on one side to the foothills of the Sperrins on the other.
The staff base much of the teaching on helping the children develop an appreciation and understanding of the history and geography, crafts, and culture of the local area and, nestling as the school does in the middle of such good sheep country, they are very much looking forward to undertaking the Ulster Wool Project this Spring.
